What Not To Wear...

So this past weekend I did a mini maternity session with my sister in law. We have decided to do another as we discovered that BRIGHT BLUE pants are not a good idea. It was a disaster trying to edit the photos as everything I did the pants just destroyed the photo. But I did get a couple I'm happy with.

My Belly...

For those of you that already know, I'm growing baby number three. She is a beautifully healthy baby girl. I just saw her via ultrasound yesterday with my wonderful mother in law. I love when she is able to go to my appointments and/or ultrasounds. She got to see how extremely mellow Rebecca is. Though the ultrasound tech tried to get her to move several times, she just wouldn't budge. She has a rather great schedule, she sleeps at night when I do and she is awake between about 10amish and goes back to sleep around 8pmish. So I'm hoping she stays like this, just as her siblings were.
Tomorrow November 8th, 2013 I will be 26 weeks pregnant. 14 weeks to go. It is going by so super fast. I think that having two under 5 and being the holiday season, it's all combined to make for a fast pregnancy. I am grateful that I have not had really ANY signs of SPD this time around. It was so painful and unbearable, I don't know if I'd be able to bear it again. Though I have had some bad sciatic nerve pain, but I would definitely take that over SPD.

"The network of nerves in your baby's ears are better developed and more sensitive than before. He may now be able to hear both your voice and your partner's as you chat with each other. He's inhaling and exhaling small amounts of amniotic fluid, which is essential for the development of his lungs. These so-called breathing movements are also good practice for when he's born and takes that first gulp of air. Also he's continuing to put on baby fat. He now weighs about 1 2/3 pounds and measures 14 inches (about the size of a scallion) from head to heel."

My Son...

So you have learned about my princess. Here is the story of my son. From the time I found out I was pregnant with him, he was a handful. He was a big mover and shaker in utero. He gave me a bad case of SPD (syphonis pubis dysfunction) which hurt so bad and made the last 6 weeks unbearable, but I wouldn't trade it for the world. He came into this world rather quickly. Labor lasted 1 hour and 1/2. He lifted his head to see grandma that first day. He has been super busy ever since. He is so smart and catches on super quickly. He loves to play with his sister and do everything she does. He is one of the funniest kids you will ever meet and just as lovable. He is my little prince!

My Daughter...

Taylor is my first and I love her soo much and everyday her personality just grows. Yes there are times I want to run away. But I would not give her up for the world. She is my husband's parents first grandbaby and his grandparents first great grandbaby. She is the oldest of 7 at the moment (soon she will be the oldest of 9). She loves her baby brother so much and though she constantly picks on him, she also protects him at parks and playgrounds. She is highly intelligent and can figure out just about any situation she is put into. She starting talking at 4 months, learned her advanced shapes before the basic ones. Her favorite color is purple and her favorite thing to do is go to grandpa's house. She has two stuffed bears that she loves named "Charlie" and "Lola". She doesn't like candy but pretends to. My gosh she is just the best little girl in the world. Though I may be biased.

Here she is with her Grandpa!!!!

Goals, What are Those?...

So my husband is a better business planner than I am and actually a better planner than me in anything. I love that man as he keeps me grounded and focused, though my mind wonders too much. He has told me that a good rule of thumb when it comes to business planning is making goals and sticking to them.

So I have come up with a few for my photography, both personal and professional.

First the Professional part:

  1. Have at least 2 clients a month for the first six months. After that I reevaluate.
  2. Advertise as much as I can, where I can.
  3. Network
  4. Continue to learn
  5. Make friends with other photogs in the area.
Second the Personal side:

  1. Start and finish a 30 day challenge.
  2. Shoot something everyday, no matter what it is or what the weather is like.
  3. Keep a "photo journal" of the kids.
  4. Take more photo walks.
  5. Start a photo group.
So now I need help be accountable. I'm really hoping that I can keep this all going. I have a wonderful new photog friend who I'm helping get her on the right track and hopefully we can go places together and learn and grow.
So for now these are my goals and I'm gonna go and start them and pray that I keep myself accountable. God is watching over me and He gave me this talent, now I just need to get back on my feet and put it out there.

Where's the Restart Button...

Well for a while now I have been fighting my drive of doing photography. I even stopped taking photos of my babies. I had lost all motivation. I then had an extremely long talk with my husband about this whole situation, because he saw what was going on. Finally he had to say something. He asked what was going on as he had never in our 10 years of marriage not seen me without a camera for more than a couple days. He knows me all too well :). So after the talk we realized that some of it may be that I am fighting with God on His will for me. He gave a wonderful gift that brings joy to people and myself. I love photography, I love capturing the world around me and I love capturing the memories we all make everyday. I have love this since I was a little girl and constantly asking my mom to buy new cartridges of film for my camera. I took pictures of EVERYTHING. Well I reevaluated everything and have put my price list back together. I have my contracts, model releases and price releases made up. I have "hired" my husband as my business manager. Got all the tax forms and business part taken care of. Now I'm ready to get back into it again and now that I'm settled here in Fort Worth, I'm ready for you to contact me with your inquiries. Can't wait to hear from ya'll and help capture the memories you will cherish for a lifetime.

"Only conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the Gospel of Christ, so that whether I come and see you or remain absent, I will hear of you that you are standing firm in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the Gospel." - Philippians 1:27

Merry-Go-Round...

Today we went to the park and had a great time! The kids had a ball. I love seeing them run around like goofballs. They loved the swings, slides and merry-go-round. James fell off the merry-go-round, but was absolutely fine. He got up and got back on.

22 Weeks...

I'm doing fine in my whole pregnancy. I am growing as I should, I have another appointment on Monday. I have only gained 3 lbs. so far. I had a rough first half of pregnancy. I think I'm doing pretty good at the moment. I have less than 18 weeks to go. I can't wait to meet this beautiful baby girl.

"At 11 inches and almost 1 pound (about the size of a spaghetti squash), your baby is starting to look like a miniature newborn. His lips, eyelids, and eyebrows are becoming more distinct, and he's even developing tiny tooth buds beneath his gums. His eyes have formed, but his irises (the colored part of the eye) still lack pigment.
If you could see inside your womb, you'd be able to spot the fine hair (lanugo) that covers his body and the deep wrinkles on his skin, which he'll sport until he adds a padding of fat to fill them in. Inside his belly, his pancreas — essential for the production of some important hormones — is developing steadily."

My Little Sick Man...

I love my little man, but man I hate it when my babies are sick. Usually my kids aren't sick longer than about six hours, but James has been sick for over 24 hours now. He is super clingy and doesn't want me to leave his side. I was finally able to get him to lay down in his bed for a nap. I got a few cute photos of my sick man. He is so cute but so sad.

It's a Girl...

So I had an ultrasound today. I was excited. Kris and my mother in law were not able to go with me, so I decided I didn't want to find out without them. I wanted my tech to write it down for me so my friend could put together my gift bag (which she thought was awesome). Well I get there and we are looking at the baby and he didn't tell me he was going to the groin area so I saw everything, cuz I didn't look away. So I knew what I was having. Then a few minutes later he told me that I was not that far along (I'll be 17 weeks Friday) so he didn't want to tell me right now. I will "find" out at my next ultrasound. What's funny is there is definitely NO doubt what I am having. I saw the "cheeseburger" as the techs always call it. But he also wouldn't give me a "guess shot" either. I'm not a happy camper he didn't look there long enough to even try to give me a guess. But I know what I saw cuz he was there long enough for me to see it. I am most definitely having another beautiful baby girl. Her heart rate went down to 147bpm. Low for a girl but James' was 167 throughout my pregnancy. I will have another scan soon as he couldn't do the whole anatomy scan cuz baby isn't old enough. So I will have my complete confirmation soon.

Now for some photos:

Second Trimester...

Yesterday was super busy, had church, lunch, then had to hang out at Kris' job until he got off, so we could straight back to church for out membership meeting. It was good. Taylor and James enjoyed playing with the kids in the nursery. So I wasn't able to get to the challenge, however later today I will have day 5.

Anyway here is an update on me:

So now I'm at 15w3d. Going along rather strong, though I keep getting killer migraines. I will be finding out the gender of baby #3 in 9 days. OOOOOO can't wait.

From Babycenter:

"Your growing baby now measures about 4 inches long, crown to rump, and weighs in at about 2 1/2 ounces (about the size of an apple). She's busy moving amniotic fluid through her nose and upper respiratory tract, which helps the primitive air sacs in her lungs begin to develop. Her legs are growing longer than her arms now, and she can move all of her joints and limbs. Although her eyelids are still sealed shut, she can sense light. If you shine a flashlight at your tummy, for instance, she's likely to move away from the beam. There's not much for your baby to taste at this point, but she is forming taste buds. Finally, if you have an ultrasound this week, you may be able to find out whether your baby's a boy or a girl! (Don't be too disappointed if it remains a mystery, though. Nailing down your baby's sex depends on the clarity of the picture and on your baby's position. He or she may be modestly curled up or turned in such a way as to "hide the goods.")"

Here I am 15 weeks along. I have a feeling I'm gonna be huge this time around. As I looked like this at 6 months with James. Blah oh well. I'm happy I'm having this little angel.
Any guesses on gender? I want boy, but pretty sure I'm having a girl.

Water Babies...

My babies love water, they are fish, I swear. James is really good at floating and Taylor basically taught herself to swim. I love my little ones.
