Blogs...

I have two blogs this one obviously and my business one. I follow a bunch of them as well. Some (well most of them) are on the subject of photography. I get a lot of ideas for photos, help with business information, camera help, etc. I love to read these blogs and get insight into the world of others. I hope that others like reading mine as well.

Here some of the links to a few of my favorites:

Shannon Morse- Wedding/Portrait photographer

Kristen Booth- Wedding/Portrait/Storybook photographer

Rachel Brenke- Business Consultant/Portrait photographer

Lynsey Stone- Birth photographer

Play at Home Mom LLC- Blog with lots of ideas for having fun with your kids

Domestic Imperfection- DIY blog, with a lot of helpful hints/tips for around the home

These are just a few of the ones I love. I love to learn new things. With more and more blogs, you can find out just about anything nowadays. It's great!

Now a quick photo of my baby girl.

I Love 'Em...

I can't express enough how much I love my little family. My baby boy, little girl and wonderful husband. I love waking up everyday to my daughter saying "Mommy, wake uuuppp". She is just plain awesome. Then my little man is getting so big, he is trying to crawl and get down and play with Taylor. It's way too super cute. Time just goes by way too fast!

A Little Push...

I finally had my first paid photo session this past Friday. I guess my patience paid off :). I have decided since I was only getting inquiries from people/friends/family from out of state, I needed to be more proactive in my approach to getting "clientele" for my portfolio. So I went to Facebook and messaged a bunch of my friends and family in the area to see about sessions for them. I have gotten four people to contact me back. YAYAYA. I have a few set up already. Kris even got two for me from a friend he goes to school with. I'm excited. It felt really good to have that first paying job, it made it feel real. Kris said I was glowing afterwards. So now I am really working my butt to get everything going smoothly. I have all the paperwork I need, Kris is taking care of the invoice/tax/money portion, and I am working on all the software I need. All I needed really was a little push of myself and from Kris.

This is one of the "bridges" at the park where I live in Dixon.

This is from the session on Friday: Julee and Tessa. They are both so beautiful.

Patience...

I need some...

This past week, God has really tested mine. Stuff had to be rescheduled, agencies needed to be called to fix a wrong, and plans didn't work out how I wanted them. But in the end God was right there to show me to good of it all.
This is my one weakness in my walk, I have a hard time with Patience and control. I "need" to control every aspect of my life. Though I know for a fact life is always much easier when I give the reins to God. I have absolutely no patience, I am tested and tested daily with this one. My children are my teachers send to me to get me to learn to keep my cool. I thank God everyday for my husband and my children, they are a blessing in my life from above. Though I have to learn patience, and relinquish control to Him, I know I am truly blessed.

"Psalm 40: 1 I waited patiently for the Lord: and He inclined to me and heard my cry"

OOPS...

Well "the tens of thursday" post will be late this week, I forgot what day it was. LOL. It's been a very long week so I've lost all track of time. Oh well, however I do have some photos of my babies.
