2012...

This year was full of all sorts of goodies. I turned 28, I had a baby, visited family, and so much more. I fairly enjoyed most of the year.

January:
The end of January marked the beginning of the end of my pregnancy. This is me at about 32 weeks. Not too bad.

February:
I turned 28 that's about it for February. Though I had my baby shower and maternity photo session. Done by Shannon Morse.

March:
Was put on bed rest for the remainder of my pregnancy, due to SPD. I also attempted to day a photo a day challenge but I had commitment issues.

April:
My baby boy was born and my full family is put together.

May:
I started my 101 in 1001 and second shoot a wedding. Here is the link for 101 in 1001.

June:
Kris and Dad started a beautiful garden.

July:
Taylor turns 3 and fireworks.

August:
I "started" my business of photography. It is getting hard for me to have patience. I am building a portfolio right now. I will not officially open until I move.

 September:
Not much went on for this month. I believe we went camping.

October:
Halloween.

November:
Thanksgiving. I saw my older sisters and my best friend. The phoenix zoo.

December:
THE WORLD DIDN'T END LOL!!!
Christmas and the New Year.

The bad part of the is right after the new year, my babies grandparents are leaving for Texas and we won't see them again until we move in April.
Have a Happy and Safe New Year.

Friday Features...

First:
Tragedy is been in the news far to often these past few months. With some of these things my Faith is shaken. I have to sit and ask God what it is all for. I know He has a plan and though the pains of this world are tragic and, what we feel, unneeded, He uses them all for a greater good.

"Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing."- James 1: 2-4 ESV

Though in the most recent tragedy involved mostly small children, God knew what He was doing. We may not like it or understand it, but have to have Faith and believe that God is always in control. I am glad to know that through my own prayers, I am more understanding of what God has in his plans and I know that NO ONE is in control, that only He shall know everything and control everything in this world.

I know there will be people who disagree with what I am saying and that is to be expected. There are people who will say "If He is a lovely God, how could he let something like this happen to such innocent small children??" But He is a lovely God and there is a reason for everything.
I also have a strong stance that outlawing guns for the general public to own will be disarming the people for protecting themselves from the criminals that mean to harm them. I do NOT advocate violence in any way. I think violence is the last resort to any situation. But I don't think you should take guns away from people because of psychos that want to go around harm the innocent. As many people say and I know it's cliche but "guns don't people, people kill people". You don't have to have a gun to kill someone, you can use just about anything. Guns are just convenient and easier to use. I just hope that (knowing that there will never be peace as history can prove, because the world is full of sin) there can be more done to protect the innocent.
So tonight go and give an extra tight hug to your family, young or old, tell them you love them, kiss them even if they're sleeping, because you don't know God's plan for you!

Photo of children Courtesy of RIP Sandy Hook Elementary Victims facebook page. I do wish they had the photos of the teachers to also put faces with my prayers but as of right now they do not.

Second:
The end of the world. So the Mayans predicted that today the world would end. Of course it didn't. Here is why:
" "But concerning that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only." Matthew 24: 36

Third:
Killer Karaoke: This show is so super hilarious. It's karaoke with a super funny twist, they have to sing while being "tortured". Steve-o, from Jackass, is the host. I can't get enough.

Friday Features...

I'm have about three weeks worth of this new blog series posts. It's called "Friday Features". I will take  three things I'm liking at the moment talk a little about it and recommend. Whether it's music, tv, movies, food, etc. I'm hoping ya'll enjoy it.

This first week is about Christmas, Hunger Games, and Chris Tomlin.

First: Christmas.
Tis the season. I love the season of Christmas! The lights, the smells, the joy of being with family. I love hanging the lights and I love that it is the day my Savior was born! A lot of people these days forget the true meaning behind Christmas and only see the commercialism in it. It is the season of giving and God gave us the ultimate gift, His only son.

Even Veggietales knows the meaning of Christmas.
Remember to keep Christ in Christmas.

Second: Hunger Games.
Yes I know it's somewhat old news but I love this movie and love the book. I really enjoy the story behind it. I am glad that I bought this movie a while ago and am able to watch when I want. If you haven't seen it or read the book. I recommend both, but read the book first, it gives more back story and the movie makes a little more sense.

Third: Chris Tomlin.
This man is a beautiful singer/songwriter. I have to say my favorite songs (I have two) are "Amazing Grace (my chains are gone)" and "I Will Rise". I own two of his cds. I listen to him to lift me up when I am down. If you love christian music and have not heard of him. Please listen to these next two videos and then look him up.

At This Moment...

So lately, I've been discouraged about my photography. I have had one paying customer and it's like pulling teeth to get friends to let you get photos done. Really the only ones willing are my kids and my niece and nephew. I am hoping when I move to Texas it will be better. Though these last few weeks have been hectic, these next few won't be any different really.

However I have been trying (really to no avail) to do photos here and there. I've either been to lazy, tired or the weather was bad!

I have spent time with family I hadn't seen in about 4 and 8 years. It was fun, though very long! I got a lot of clothes for Taylor and some for James from my sister, she is just awesome!

We went to the zoo and I saw my BFFs new daughter and nephew!

Miss Shannon above and Mr Myles below!

This last week I tried to help my in laws move out of their old place, but the kids were a nightmare, so Kris helped them out. They had one stressful week! This week and the next couple following I'm gonna attempt to not stress out about Christmas. I have all the stockings, plenty for my babies, decorations up and food planned. This weekend we have our church banquet. That should be good for some laughs. I will be bringing my camera for some special photos.
This month I am gonna attempt to take my camera out at least twice a week just to keep my head up and get some more lovable shots of my beautiful babies. I am gonna also try and get some new ideas for this blog. Kinda like maybe "fantasy friday" or "music monday" or I choose a day of the week to share my likes, thoughts and/or new finds.
