The Start

I am creating this blog, because I read on a website Digital Photography School suggested whether you're a beginner or a professional you should start a photo blog to display your best shots and to have a place where you can get opinions and tips from others and I really want to take up photography. I don't know for sure if I want to do this as a profession but I love it as a hobby. I have loved taking pictures since my first 110mm film camera. It had a Barbie Doll cover. I went through about 4 rolls of film a week. I took hundreds of thousands of pictures as a child. Then I stopped for a while, not exactly sure why. Then my husband (Kris) bought me a Kodak point and shoot. I started taking pictures of EVERYTHING. Then I got a Nikon Coolpix. That was great for basic pics of family, events, etc. I wanted greater quality, so for my birthday this year, Kris bought me a Canon Rebel XS EOS 1000D. I was soooo happy when I finally recieved it in the mail. I have taken it for a few test drives and it's great. Though I have tried to use the manual settings, right now I use the auto settings. LOL.

Here are some of the first BESTS:

This one I like to call "Penticostal Baby"

The funny thing about this lemon is that the "tree" it's on is shorter than my little girl, Taylor.
I was laying down on my back when taking this of a baby palm tree.
This is part of the tree thats on the other side of my fence right outside my bedroom window.
Loving the swing while we play at the park.
Enjoying her kids and grandkids at the park.
It's really hard to get good photos of this girl. Kay is a great kid to be around, most of the time.
